Kantara Chapter 1 has registered an occupancy that is 354% higher than its predecessor's day 1 numbers. The film saw a 73.5% occupancy in the morning shows and a staggering 96.14% occupancy in the afternoon. Industry experts predict the evening and night shows will be even bigger hits.
The film's ticket sales on BookMyShow have also been exceptional. Kantara Chapter 1 sold a total of 696K tickets from 6 AM to 6 PM on its opening day, averaging 58K tickets per hour. At one point, the film's peak ticket sales reached 76K in a single hour, the second-best performance of the year 2025, trailing only the highly anticipated L2: Empuraan.
