Kantara: Chapter 1 Joins Elite 200 Crore Club in Just 4 Days

As of October 6th, 2025, the Kantara prequel, Kantara: Chapter 1, has pulled off fantastic numbers at the Indian box office. The film, starring Rishab Shetty in the lead role, opened strongly with a collection of 61.85 crores. Over the next three days, it displayed impressive jumps, earning 45.4 crores on day 2, 55 crores on day 3, and a strong 61.5 crores on day 4, Sunday.

This massive 4-day extended weekend has resulted in Kantara: Chapter 1 entering the prestigious 200 crore club in just 4 days. With this achievement, the film has become the third Kannada movie to score a double century in India, joining the league of KGF Chapter 2 (856 crore net) and the original Kantara (309.64 crore net). It has also surpassed the domestic collection of KGF Chapter 1, cementing its position as the third highest-grossing Kannada film of all time at the Indian box office.
