Kanpur is preparing to observe Independence Day with a vibrant 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, featuring a schedule of patriotic programs on August 12 and August 13. The city anticipates a Tiranga Yatra commencing from Sarsaiya Ghat to Green Park on Wednesday, August 12, at 9 am, drawing participation from various community members and officials.
Adding to the festivities, a four-day Tiranga Mela is scheduled at Lawn No. 1 of Motijheel, beginning August 12 and concluding on August 15. The Mela, inaugurated on August 12 at 11 am, focuses on promoting patriotism and national unity through its diverse activities.
Further enhancing the patriotic spirit, a Tiranga Concert is planned for August 13 at Nana Rao Park. This event will feature the felicitation of martyrs' and freedom fighters' families, alongside cultural performances by physically challenged individuals and young artists. Patriotic poetry and a Kavi Sammelan are also part of the program, enriching the celebratory atmosphere.
