Ranaut stressed that filmmaking inherently involves collaboration and the integration of multiple viewpoints.

Her remarks followed controversy surrounding the film 'Peddi,' which was criticized for its portrayal and camera work objectifying women. A particularly contentious scene depicted a non-consensual kiss. The director of 'Peddi,' Buchi Babu Sana, has since apologized and committed to modifying the disputed sequences.
