Kamal Haasan: 67 Years in Cinema, Still Gen Z at Heart

Kamal Haasan, a luminary of Tamil cinema, has reached a remarkable milestone: 67 years in the film industry. Reflecting on his enduring career, the veteran actor playfully dubs himself the "oldest of Gen Z in cinema," highlighting a continuous desire to learn and adapt.

Haasan shared on social media that out of his 67 years in the industry, he estimates only about 20 years constituted true learning, with the remainder being a process of "going with the flow." He expressed his hope that his accumulated experience can still be improved upon.

He noted the vast historical context of cinema, which spans approximately 130 years since the Lumière brothers' first screening in 1895. Haasan's 67 years represent more than half of this entire cinematic history, a thought he finds "extraordinary."

Despite his extensive experience, Haasan continues to be actively involved in filmmaking. He was last seen in the Mani Ratnam-directed 'Thug Life' and is currently engaged in multiple projects, including a highly anticipated collaboration with fellow legend Rajinikanth.
