Just days before the accident, Haasan had been discussing the intricacies of a steep fall with a Hollywood stunt expert who had worked on the film Cliffhanger. The expert wanted Haasan's fall from 25 storeys to look physically believable.
However, Haasan soon faced a far more devastating tragedy. On the fateful night, he reached home and told his daughter Shruti that all the dangerous stunts in Abhay were over. Tragically, Haasan's then-wife Sarika suffered a near-fatal fall on the terrace. Haasan says he was undergoing a "bizarre screenplay" in his mind, going from shock to gloom within no time.
