4 May
Summary
- Musgraves donned an armadillo costume for album promotion.
- She visited Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and Target with the costume.
- Her new album features collaborations with Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert.

Kacey Musgraves launched an unconventional promotional campaign for her new album, 'Middle of Nowhere,' by wearing a giant armadillo costume. The country star visited various retail locations, including Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and Target, in a humorous effort to promote her latest musical offering.
Musgraves' adventurous spirit was evident as she interacted with customers and sought out her album in stores. This 'Middle of Nowhere' album follows her 2024 release, 'Deeper Well,' and features collaborations with fellow Texan Willie Nelson on "Uncertain, TX," and Miranda Lambert on "Horses & Divorces."
Adding to the album's appeal, Musgraves also partnered with bluegrass artist Billy Strings for the track "Everybody Wants To Be a Cowboy." The album's lead single, "Dry Spell," humorously addresses a period of solitude.
Currently, Musgraves is participating in a series of three concerts at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas. These performances, scheduled for May 4 and May 5, will feature special guests the Mariachi Brothers. These siblings, who were previously detained by ICE in March, are known for their performances and have appeared at Capitol Hill.
