Following a notable career in the 1950s and 1960s, Newmar's most recent acting roles were in direct-to-video Batman cartoons released in 2016 and 2017. Her last in-person speaking engagement was in 2012. Organizers confirmed this weekend's event marks her final convention appearance, highlighting her dedication to fans.
At the convention, Newmar reunited with several stars from the 1966 Batman series, including Eileen O'Neill and Nancy Kovack. Newmar's portrayal of Catwoman spanned two seasons, and she also earned a Tony Award for her stage work and a Golden Globe nomination for the film adaptation of "The Marriage-Go-Round."
