The highly anticipated action film 'Dragon,' starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, is set to release on June 11, 2027. Producer Ravi Shankar Yellamanchili recently confirmed the release date, dispelling rumors of a delay that surfaced after Jr NTR sustained a hand injury requiring surgery and a six-week recovery period.
Despite Jr NTR's injury, the production of 'Dragon' is proceeding as planned. Director Prashanth Neel is reportedly filming sequences that do not involve the actor, which were part of the original schedule. These scenes will be completed while Jr NTR recovers, with his portions resuming upon his return to the sets.
The makers aim to conclude the principal photography by the end of 2026, allowing ample time for extensive post-production. 'Dragon' marks Rukmini Vasanth's debut in Telugu cinema, playing the female lead. The film is being positioned as a grand action entertainer, capitalizing on the unique collaboration between director Neel and star Jr NTR.
