3 Oct
Summary
- Dragon's release date is confirmed for June 11, 2027.
- Jr NTR's hand injury will not impact the film's schedule.
- Prashanth Neel is filming scenes without the lead actor.

The upcoming action film Dragon, featuring Jr NTR and helmed by director Prashanth Neel, is now slated for a June 11, 2027 release. Mythri Movie Makers has officially confirmed this date, addressing recent rumors of a potential delay.
This confirmation comes after Jr NTR sustained a hand injury requiring surgery and a recovery period of approximately six weeks. However, producer Ravi Shankar Yellamanchili stated that this setback will not affect the film's planned release.
In parallel with Jr NTR's recovery, Prashanth Neel is continuing with the shooting of scenes that do not involve the lead actor. These sequences are part of the established schedule and are expected to be completed before Jr NTR rejoins the production.
The team aims to conclude the principal photography by the end of the current year, which will allow sufficient time for editing and extensive post-production work crucial for a film of Dragon's magnitude.
Dragon stars Jr NTR in the lead role, with Rukmini Vasanth making her Telugu debut. The ensemble cast includes Anil Kapoor as Chief of the Narcotics Bureau and Biju Menon as Afghanistan Logistics Head. Initially set for a June 25, 2026 release, the film's date has been moved to June 11, 2027.
