Joyce Manor Reunites with Legendary Producer for Nostalgic 2026 Album

In October 2025, the SoCal pop rock band Joyce Manor announced their first album in three years, set to arrive on January 30, 2026 via Epitaph Records. Titled "I Used to Go to This Bar," the new LP is steeped in nostalgia for the band.

To produce the album, Joyce Manor tapped SoCal legend and Bad Religion co-founder Brett Gurewitz, who the band says is "one of the architects of everything we grew up on." Guitarist Barry Johnson noted that having Gurewitz guide the record helped them "make something that we could put next to those classic records that shaped us."

Alongside the album announcement, Joyce Manor shared their new single "Well, Whatever It Was," a beachy, upbeat track that comes with a playful music video parodying the popular baking competition show The Great British Bake Off. Drummer Joey Warnoker, mixer TLA, and percussionist Lenny Castro all contributed to the song, which Johnson says "would go insanely hard in a Shrek film."

In addition to the new music, Joyce Manor also revealed plans for a U.K. tour this fall and a U.S. tour in support of "I Used to Go to This Bar" next spring. Last year, the band celebrated the 10th anniversary of their seminal pop-punk record "Never Hungover Again" with a five-show celebration, which saw a guest appearance from Mark Hoppus.
