Journey's Epic 120-Show Farewell Tour Kicks Off in 2026

In November 2025, the legendary rock band Journey announced plans for a grand farewell tour spanning 2026 and 2027. The tour, dubbed the "Final Frontier," will feature a staggering 120 shows across North America and potentially overseas.

Guitarist Neal Schon, the sole constant member throughout Journey's tumultuous 53-year history, has made it clear that this tour does not mark the end of the band's legacy. Schon has been teasing a new project called "Journey Beyond," hinting at a fresh creative direction after the farewell tour concludes.

While Schon remains committed to continuing Journey's music, keyboardist Jonathan Cain has announced his plans to retire following the tour. Cain's departure has caused some tension within the band, but Schon is determined to move forward and celebrate Journey's iconic catalog.

The farewell tour will feature two full sets of Journey's greatest hits and deep cuts, with no opening act. Schon promises a larger, more powerful production and ample room for improvisation and jamming.
