Rising British star Josh Finan is set to make his major film debut in 'Custom of the Country,' an adaptation of Edith Wharton's classic novel. He will co-star with Sydney Sweeney, who portrays the ambitious Undine Spragg, a woman striving for the social elite of New York at the turn of the century.
Finan will play Ralph Marvell, the husband of Sweeney's character. The film is directed by Josie Rourke, who also penned the screenplay. Production is currently underway.
'Custom of the Country' is fully financed by Studiocanal and is slated for theatrical distribution within Studiocanal's territories, which include the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, and Benelux. Worldwide sales for the film began at the European Film Market in Berlin.
