Josh Duhamel Admits Fergie Marriage Was 'In Her Shadow'

Josh Duhamel has recently opened up about his past marriage to singer Fergie, admitting he spent a significant portion of their time together in her "shadow." The actor shared on "The Megyn Kelly Show" that adjusting to life with a global superstar, especially during the height of her fame with the Black Eyed Peas, presented challenges.

Duhamel confessed that he felt a sense of competition, largely due to his own ego, as Fergie achieved significant success, including multiple Grammy awards, during their 2009 marriage. While Fergie was dominating music charts, Duhamel was building his acting career, but he felt the scales of fame were unbalanced.

The couple, who met on the set of Duhamel's show 'Las Vegas,' married in 2009 and welcomed their son, Axl, in 2013. However, by 2017, they decided to separate, with their divorce finalized in 2019, citing fundamental differences in their views of the world.

Despite the marital challenges, Duhamel maintains a positive outlook, stating he has no regrets and has found great happiness in his current marriage to Audra Mari. He also highlighted their successful co-parenting relationship, describing Fergie as a great mother to Axl and noting Fergie's supportive relationship with his new family.
