27 Feb
Summary
- Majors is filming an action movie with Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire.
- The film's plot is rumored to resemble '80s/'90s teen invasion movies.
- Majors seeks new opportunities after his Marvel contract termination.

Jonathan Majors, previously a prominent Marvel star, is set to return to acting in a new action film. This project is notably co-produced by conservative influencer Ben Shapiro through The Daily Wire. Filming for the movie, which is being kept under wraps regarding its title and cast, has been underway in South Carolina.
Reports suggest the film's narrative might echo 1980s and 1990s movies like 'Red Dawn' and 'Toy Soldiers,' focusing on a group of young individuals banding together to confront adversaries. Kyle Rankin, who previously worked with The Daily Wire on 'Run Hide Fight,' is directing from his own screenplay.
Majors' career faced a significant downturn following his conviction for assault on his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in March 2023. This led to his removal from future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, where he was slated to portray the villain Kang the Conqueror. Marvel later announced Robert Downey Jr. would take on the role of Doctor Doom and renamed the 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' film to 'Avengers: Doomsday.'
Majors has expressed feeling heartbroken about Marvel's new direction and has publicly questioned the disparity in public and professional treatment compared to actors like Robert Downey Jr. and Ezra Miller, who have also faced legal challenges. Downey Jr. had a history of legal troubles in the late 1990s related to drug offenses, while Miller has faced charges including felony burglary. Majors was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment, and his ex-girlfriend testified about a volatile relationship involving controlling behavior and physical altercations. He was ordered to complete counseling and avoid jail time, and later settled a civil lawsuit with Jabbari in November 2025.
Majors recently married actress Meagan Good, who has voiced support for his return to filmmaking. Beyond the Shapiro-produced film, Majors is also slated to appear in a supernatural revenge thriller titled 'Merciless' for Martin Villeneuve.
