The actor revealed that he recorded the audition tape just minutes before stepping on stage for a separate performance in London's West End. Bailey's Wicked costars, including Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Michelle Yeoh, were impressed by his last-minute preparation, with Erivo asking, "How on Earth did you even have the [time]?" Bailey responded, "It's such a -- it's like, you sort of go, it's now. Let's play it. Let's just do it."
