19 Oct
Summary
- Jon Stewart will host The Daily Show every Monday until December 2028.
- He returned to hosting duties in early 2024 for the election cycle.
- Other correspondents will continue anchoring Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Jon Stewart's commitment to The Daily Show has been extended, with the comedian now slated to host the program every Monday through December 2028. This continuation comes after his return to the Monday anchor desk in early 2024, a role initially intended for that year's election coverage.
His initial return saw an extension through 2026 announced last November. Stewart, a familiar face at The Daily Show from 1999 to 2015, will continue his role, while other correspondents will manage hosting duties Tuesdays through Thursdays.
These correspondents, including Ronny Chieng and Josh Johnson, will continue their rotating roles. The Daily Show recently earned two Creative Arts Emmys, with Desi Lydic recognized for her performance. The show airs weeknights on Comedy Central and streams on Paramount+.
This extension occurs following Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The newly formed entity, Skydance, now oversees both The Daily Show and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.
