Johnny Knoxville has announced that Jackass 5 will be his final film in the franchise, citing severe health concerns. Following a bull stunt for Jackass Forever that resulted in a brain hemorrhage, doctors have strongly advised him against sustaining any more head injuries. Knoxville revealed on The Howard Stern Show that he experienced a decline in his cognitive abilities, which led him to seek treatment with antidepressants.
The 55-year-old performer stated that he has nothing left to prove and wants to maintain his faculties. He plans to focus on other projects, including hosting Fear Factor: House of Fear. Knoxville also has upcoming film roles in "Tiny Fugitives" and "I Want Your Sex."
Knoxville's decision comes after a career filled with death-defying stunts, including a golf cart flip in the first Jackass film in 2002. He welcomed his third wife, Emily Ting, in November 2025. His children, Madison, Rocko, and Arlo, have not typically watched the Jackass series due to its content.
