Johnny Depp's Secret Musical Life Unveiled

Johnny Depp, renowned for his acting roles, also boasts a significant musical background. He is a co-founder of the rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires, established in 2012 alongside Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. The band's story is now chronicled in the documentary 'Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires.'

This documentary offers a look into Depp's songwriting approach. He revealed his method of capturing lyrical inspiration, noting the fleeting nature of creative ideas. Depp shared that he always carries a notebook to record thoughts as they emerge, illustrating this with a song dedicated to Hedy Lamarr.

Footage from the documentary shows Depp in his music studio, composing at the piano late into the night. Director Daniel E. Catullo III, known for other concert films, helmed the project. 'Unleashed Spirits' premiered at the Boston Film Festival in September and will screen at the Newport Beach Film Festival on October 22.

Depp is also preparing for his role in 'Ebenezer,' a film where he plays a businessman visited by ghosts of the past, present, and future.
