Actor John Travolta is dedicating his latest film, Propeller One-Way Night Coach, as a tribute to his late son, Jett, and his wife, Kelly Preston. Jett passed away in 2009 at age 16, and Kelly died in 2020 at age 57 following a battle with breast cancer.
In an interview, Travolta shared his philosophy on coping with grief, stating, "my nature is to look for the positive, even in the face of the worst." He believes in not dwelling in darkness but finding light.
The film itself is inspired by Travolta's 1997 book of the same name and centers on a child's hope and resilience. Travolta aims to recapture a childlike perspective where challenges are overcome, and the glass is seen as half full.
Propeller One-Way Night Coach premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where Travolta was honored with the Palme d'Or. His daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, also stars in the film.
