Veteran Actor John Goodman Cast in 'The Beast in Me' S2

Veteran actor John Goodman has been cast in the upcoming second season of Netflix's popular crime thriller, 'The Beast in Me.' He is set to portray the father of Claire Danes' character, Agatha "Aggie" Wiggs. Danes will return to her role in the psychological thriller, which was renewed in September 2026 following a successful debut. The first season premiered in 2025 and achieved significant global success, reaching the Top 10 in 88 countries and garnering 43 million views within its initial seven weeks. Season 1 writers Howard Gordon and Daniel Pearle are returning as co-showrunners for the second season, also serving as executive producers alongside Danes and series creator Gabe Rotter. The series is produced by 20th Television for Netflix. While a release date for Season 2 has not yet been announced, Goodman's involvement adds considerable star power to the production.
