Cleese's Holy Grail Tour: A Minor Miracle Unfolds

Legendary comedian John Cleese has announced a special theatre tour centered around the iconic 1975 film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The tour commenced on September 1st in Basingstoke, with subsequent stops planned in various venues, including Tunbridge Wells and Woking. During the event, Cleese will present the beloved British comedy, offering insights into its historical context and production background for approximately 15 minutes before the screening. Following the film, he will engage with the audience, answering their questions. Cleese humorously remarked that he often has dinner during the movie, having seen it numerous times. He expressed surprise at the film's enduring popularity and critical acclaim, noting it is currently ranked as the 13th funniest film ever made, a status he describes as a minor miracle. The film, starring Cleese alongside other Monty Python members, is a satirical take on Arthurian legend, stemming from their popular TV series.
