JoAnna Garcia Swisher Stars in New Netflix Holiday Movie

Actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher has announced a new project with Netflix, a holiday movie titled 'A Christmas Kind of Love.' Filming for this festive movie recently wrapped up in Louisiana, with Swisher expressing her enthusiasm for the project on social media.

The film features Swisher alongside actors Mark Wystrach and Madison Wolfe. It tells the story of a widowed baker raising her daughter in rural Louisiana. The plot thickens when the daughter discovers her mother's past as a country singer, leading her to use these talents to save the town's Christmas production.

This exciting news comes shortly before Swisher's guest appearance on the NBC sitcom 'Happy's Place,' where she will reunite with former 'Reba' co-stars Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman. Fans are also eagerly awaiting the return of 'Sweet Magnolias' for its fifth season, scheduled for release on June 11, 2026.
