J.K. Simmons Admits Never Meeting Tom Holland

J.K. Simmons, known for his role as J. Jonah Jameson, has disclosed that he has never personally met Tom Holland, the actor portraying Spider-Man. Simmons shared this surprising detail during a recent podcast appearance, noting that while he's heard Holland is a "delightful guy," their paths have yet to cross on set.

Simmons's reprisal of the iconic character in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" was a spontaneous decision, occurring late in the film's production. He explained that his agent was contacted, and he shot his scenes in an executive's office due to a lack of a dedicated set. He also clarified that contrary to internet rumors, he was never intended to be part of "The Amazing Spider-Man" films and was not involved in those movies at all.

Further addressing speculation, Simmons confirmed his absence from the upcoming "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," set to premiere on July 29. This news comes as Simmons prepares for the release of his new series, "The Westies," where he plays gang boss Eamon Sweeney.
