Jithu Madhavan: Suriya's Dedication on 'Scene' Set

Jithu Madhavan, acclaimed for Malayalam blockbusters like 'Romancham' and 'Aavesham,' is venturing into Tamil cinema with 'Scene,' featuring Suriya in the lead role. The film, produced by Suriya and Jyothika, is slated for a Diwali release on November 6. Madhavan expressed that Suriya himself prompted his Tamil debut after 'Aavesham.'

The director noted Suriya's remarkable dedication, stating the actor consistently sought to improve every take, even performing up to 20 retakes for a single scene. Madhavan also praised Nazriya Nazim for her natural humor and performance, and Naslen for his inclusion in the cast.

Madhavan discussed his comfort in working with crew members from the Malayalam industry, despite some unconventional choices like an editor who had previously only worked as a cinematographer. He revealed that he is also introducing acclaimed Malayalam music director Sushin Shyam to Tamil cinema through 'Scene.'

Dismissing concerns about box office competition during the Diwali release period, Madhavan stated his focus remains on creating good films. He also shared insights into his collaboration with YouTuber Dravid Selvam for the film's dialogues. Madhavan affirmed that his next project will be in Malayalam, while he considers offers from other industries.
