Jitendra Kumar and Pooja Bhatt to Star in Film Celebrating India's Pigeon-Flying Tradition

In an exciting development for Indian cinema, acclaimed actors Jitendra Kumar and Pooja Bhatt are set to star in a new film that explores the emotionally rich and rarely depicted world of kabootar-baazi, India's age-old pigeon-flying tradition. The project, which is expected to begin filming next year, is being produced by Khyati Madaan under her banner Not Out Entertainment and co-produced by Hitesh Kewalya, known for his work on the Shubh Mangal franchise.

Jitendra Kumar, widely praised for his performances in Panchayat, Kota Factory, and the recent Bhagwat: Chapter One - Raakshas, will take on the role of a passionate kabootarbaaz, bringing depth and realism to a character shaped by this traditional sport and its close-knit community. Pooja Bhatt, the National Award-winning actor known for her powerful and layered performances in films like Zakhm and Daddy, will play Jitendra's on-screen mother, further adding to the emotional resonance of the story.

The film is written and directed by Bilal Hasan, whose short film Chupchaap earned multiple awards and a Filmfare nomination, marking his debut as a feature film director.
