Thornton Deleted from Wheel of Fortune Socials Post-Scandal

Jim Thornton's Facebook account became inaccessible shortly after his termination from 'Wheel of Fortune.' Simultaneously, his name and images were removed from the game show's social media platforms.

These actions followed an investigation by Sony Pictures Television Studios into an incident aboard an American Airlines flight in May. A fellow passenger reported Thornton was viewing concerning content and engaging in discussions on his phone, prompting the passenger to alert a flight attendant.

While Thornton's defense claims he mistakenly accessed a help website, evidence suggests he remained engaged in a chat for nearly an hour. The flight attendant alerted the captain, leading to law enforcement meeting Thornton at LAX, where he was questioned but not charged.

Thornton's legal representative maintains his client's actions were not unlawful and that no child pornography was shared.
