Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Jewish Story Partners has announced the distribution of $560,000 in grants to 22 new film projects. This significant funding initiative, launched in 2021 with support from the Righteous Persons Foundation, has now disbursed a total of $4.5 million to 136 projects.
The newly funded films will explore the lives of prominent cultural figures including Leonard Bernstein, Marc Chagall, and Judy Heumann. These diverse projects aim to preserve Jewish stories, foster understanding, and serve as educational tools.
Selected by a jury from over 240 applications, these films were chosen for their artistic merit and engagement with contemporary issues. This year, three previously funded JSP films were shortlisted for Academy Awards, highlighting the organization's impact.
Applications for the Fall 2026 Reprise Grant cycle for current JSP grantees are due August 7, with new submissions opening in November.
