Jessica Biel is making her return to feature films after a nine-year absence with 'Matchbox the Movie,' set to stream on Apple TV starting October 9, 2026. The actress, who shares two sons, Silas and Phineas, with Justin Timberlake, revealed that her children's perception of her as 'cool' played a role in her decision.
Biel, 44, felt ready to tackle an action-heavy role, stating she felt "like myself again" after raising her sons, aged 11 and 6. In 'Matchbox the Movie,' she portrays Aimee, an EMT with a passion for amateur race-car driving, performing many high-speed driving scenes herself.
Her children have seen the movie and are reportedly excited, with Silas even having a small cameo. Biel mentioned that while her sons found the movie and her race-car driving role impressive, her elder son Silas humorously critiqued her attire in a specific scene, finding a "sexy green dress" questionable.
