Jennifer Lopez Kickstarted Actor's Instagram Journey 10 Years After 'The Boy Next Door'

In a recent interview, '9-1-1' actor Ryan Guzman discussed the return of the hit TV series, which kicked off its 9th season in October 2025. However, the conversation also turned to a significant milestone - the 10th anniversary of Guzman's 2015 thriller 'The Boy Next Door', which he starred in alongside Jennifer Lopez.

Guzman was surprised to learn that it had been a full decade since the film's release, remarking "Where has time gone?" Working on the project with Lopez left a lasting impression on the actor, including the fact that the superstar was responsible for setting up his very first Instagram account.

Guzman recalled that during the press tour for 'The Boy Next Door', Lopez was surprised to find out he didn't have an Instagram presence. She then took it upon herself to create an account for him, with his first post being shared thanks to her efforts.

Beyond that, Guzman was also inspired by observing Lopez's ability to juggle multiple creative endeavors simultaneously. "To me, it was such a huge indicator that you can do it and this is how you do it," he said, marveling at how Lopez was able to balance acting, writing, producing, and her music career all at the same time.

Watching the superstar "show off her creativity in these different lanes was very inspiring" for the relatively new actor back then. Guzman was grateful for the opportunity to learn from Lopez's example of how to successfully manage a multifaceted career in the entertainment industry.
