Jennifer Garner has made a deliberate choice to prioritize her three children by limiting film and TV projects that require extended time away from home. She credits her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, as an "incredible co-parent" who facilitates this balance. Garner's recent project, the TV adaptation "The Five Star Weekend," was initially planned for a four-month shoot in Nova Scotia. However, due to her commitment to staying close to her teenagers, she requested filming predominantly in Los Angeles. Producers agreed, arranging for most of the series to be shot locally, with a one-month commitment in Nantucket. This arrangement allows her children to stay with their father while she works. Garner expressed that this co-parenting dynamic with Affleck, whom she met in 2000 and married in 2005, is "very freeing." She reflected that while she was once caught up in the hustle of her career, this season has passed, and her focus has shifted. The series centers on Garner's character, Hollis Shaw, a grieving widow who gathers her friends for a weekend in Nantucket. The show's eight episodes are currently available on Peacock.
