Jeff Parker's jazz ensemble, ETA IVtet, is set to release their new album, 'Happy Today,' on May 15 through International Anthem. This latest work features two extended tracks, each exceeding 20 minutes in length, recorded at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles.
The quartet will celebrate the album's release with a series of four performances in California this August. Prior to the album's official launch on May 29, a concert film documenting the live recording of 'Happy Today' will be screened in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland.
Parker stated that 'Happy Today' is intended as an expression of joy, a deliberate contrast to the challenges he and his family faced in 2025, including displacement due to fires and significant emotional toll. He found a sense of optimism when reviewing the footage of the live recording.
