Jeetendra's ₹4.25 Lakh Bungalow Now Worth ₹450 Crore!

Veteran actor Jeetendra, a prominent figure in 1980s Bollywood, recently recounted a significant real estate transaction from his past. He acquired a bungalow on Mumbai's Pali Hill from late actor Bharat Bhushan for ₹4.25 lakh during a period of financial difficulty for Bhushan. This purchase was particularly noteworthy as Jeetendra, who previously lived in modest accommodations, secured the property along with a 3,450 sq ft plot at this low price.

Initially, Jeetendra experienced a streak of unsuccessful film releases after moving in, which led him to fear a similar financial downturn as Bharat Bhushan. He decided to vacate the house. However, this property proved to be an exceptionally profitable investment over time. Years later, during a redevelopment project, Jeetendra discovered the immense value of the bungalow's construction materials alone.

He revealed that the Burma teak wood used in the bungalow's construction yielded ₹11.5 lakh upon its demolition. This amount significantly exceeded his initial purchase price of ₹4.25 lakh for the entire property, highlighting the extraordinary financial acumen and luck involved in his investment. Jeetendra's career spans over six decades, with over 200 films to his name.
