The San Diego County Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death for retired actress and bodybuilder Jayne Trcka, who passed away at the age of 62 on December 12. Her death was ruled accidental, attributed to hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, further complicated by a left femoral fracture.
Chronic alcohol use was identified as a contributing factor in Trcka's demise. The Minnesota-born performer, who also boxed and wrestled under the name Kasie Cavanaugh, was discovered unresponsive in her home after friends could not reach her for several days.
Trcka gained recognition for her acting debut as Miss Mann in the 2000 hit film Scary Movie. Her athletic career included extensive bodybuilding, participating in 26 competitions between 1988 and 2000, with multiple first-place finishes.
Beyond her acting and bodybuilding achievements, Trcka appeared in muscle and fitness magazines and had roles in "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and Lady Gaga's "Telephone" music video. She is survived by an adult son.
