Bollywood Veteran Jaya Bachchan Assaults Co-Star Dinesh Lal Yadav on Film Set

According to a recent interview, veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan is known for her short temper and has a history of lashing out at paparazzi and strangers. This reputation was further cemented when Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, who co-starred with Bachchan and her husband Amitabh in the 2012 film Ganga Devi, revealed that Bachchan once hit him hard with a stick during filming.

Yadav, who played Bachchan's on-screen son in the film, said there was a scene where he had to slap his on-screen wife, and Bachchan, playing his mother, was supposed to scold him and hit him lightly with a stick. However, Yadav said Bachchan "actually hit him hard" instead of pretending, and she did so multiple times. When Yadav protested, Bachchan retorted by asking why he had hit his on-screen daughter-in-law, to which Yadav explained that it was just acting.

Despite Bachchan's violent outburst, Yadav considered the experience a "blessing," as not many people get the opportunity to work with both Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. In contrast, Yadav had a pleasant first meeting with Amitabh, who helped put the nervous actor at ease with his friendly demeanor and jokes.
