Taylor, who has been focusing on his sobriety since his split from Brittany Cartwright in January 2024, expressed immense pride in his son.
He wrote that Cruz has profoundly influenced his worldview, fostering greater patience, understanding, and a deeper capacity for love. Taylor emphasized that his son constantly reminds him of what truly matters. Brittany Cartwright filed for divorce in August 2024, but the divorce is not yet finalized.
A custody agreement was reached on March 10, outlining joint legal and physical custody for both parents, with no child support payments. Taylor has custody of Cruz every other weekend and on Wednesday nights. Cartwright had previously shared that Cruz was diagnosed after showing developmental delays in speech and other areas.
Taylor announced his departure from 'The Valley' in July 2025 to focus on his sobriety, mental health, and co-parenting efforts with Cartwright. Both parents are reportedly working to improve their co-parenting situation.
