Shah Rukh Khan Plans Jawan 2 Blockbuster Return

Shah Rukh Khan is set to embark on his next major franchise endeavor with the anticipated sequel to his 2023 blockbuster, Jawan. Filming for Jawan 2 is tentatively scheduled to begin next year, marking another collaboration between Khan and director Atlee. Their previous film, Jawan, was a record-breaking success, earning over Rs 1,100 crore worldwide and resonating with audiences due to its grand scale and mass appeal.

Director Atlee has been solidifying his status as a pan-India filmmaker, actively developing large-scale entertainers under his banner since Jawan's triumph. He is currently involved in the production of Raaka, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. For the Jawan sequel, the production team is actively exploring casting options for a formidable antagonist, aiming to secure a leading actor from the South Indian film industry.

The original Jawan featured a stellar ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and a special appearance by Deepika Padukone, alongside Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani.
