Actor Jason Momoa has departed the upcoming film adaptation of the video game Helldivers, sources have revealed. The project, a collaboration between PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures with director Justin Lin, is proceeding without Momoa, and a search is underway for a new star to fill the role.

Helldivers, originally a cooperative twin-stick shooter released in 2015, tasks players with protecting Super Earth.
