In the upcoming season 3 of the hit British TV drama 'Trigger Point', veteran actor Jason Flemyng has joined the cast as the show's new antagonist, Steven Wyles. Flemyng, known for his roles in films like 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' and 'X-Men: First Class', will be pitted against Vicky McClure's character, Lana Washington, an Explosives Officer or 'Expo' working with the Police Counter Terrorism Unit.
According to the season 3 plot synopsis, Wyles is behind a series of targeted attacks, "demanding revenue" from his victims. As the Bomb Disposal Squad races against time to find the bomber before they strike again, Lana and Wyles engage in a cat-and-mouse game, with Flemyng's character seeking a sinister form of revenge.
Flemyng, who has often been typecast as the villain in his career, says he feels "miscast" in these roles, but acknowledges that it's what he's known for. However, he's excited to work with McClure, an actress he's admired for a long time, and the two share some intense dialogue scenes that Flemyng describes as a "joy" to film.

'Trigger Point' season 3 is produced by Jed Mercurio's HTM Television and will air on ITV1 and STV in the UK, as well as being available to stream on ITVX and STV Player.
