Jannat 3 Officially in the Works, Sequel Explored

A potential third installment in the Jannat film series is reportedly being explored, producer Vishesh Bhatt has confirmed. This news comes approximately 15 years after the release of Jannat 2, and nearly 18 years after the original Jannat, both of which starred Emraan Hashmi. Currently, Jannat 3 remains in the early scripting phase, with no further details on its potential cast, storyline, or anticipated release date announced.

Bhatt indicated in a recent interview that Jannat 3 is among the projects he is considering following the production of Awarapan 2. The first Jannat, released on May 16, 2008, featured Emraan Hashmi as Arjun Dixit, a man drawn into gambling and eventually match-fixing. The sequel, Jannat 2, arrived in 2012, shifting focus to the illegal arms trade with Hashmi reprising a lead role.

Vishesh Bhatt also addressed speculation surrounding Awarapan 2, refuting claims that it was solely a commercial venture capitalizing on its predecessor's popularity. He explained that the production faced initial distribution challenges, suggesting it was not merely a cash-in. The exploration of Jannat 3 signifies a renewed interest in the crime-drama franchise.
