Janhvi Kapoor: 'Peddi' is a Cosmic Connection

Janhvi Kapoor has spoken about her upcoming role as Achiyyamma in the sports action drama 'Peddi,' directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film, set in Andhra Pradesh, follows a villager's fight for his community through sports like cricket, wrestling, and running. Kapoor highlighted her deep emotional connection with Telugu audiences, stating, "The Telugu connection is an emotion that is going on. They love you down south and especially the Telugu connection is very emotional. I live in Bombay, but my home is there." She expressed immense respect for her co-star, Ram Charan, calling their collaboration "one of the biggest honors of my life." Kapoor believes their coming together for 'Peddi' felt "cosmic," acknowledging the enduring love the Telugu audience has shown her family. The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. Kapoor described her character, Achiyyamma, as having a strong, fun, and cheerful personality.
