Janet Jackson Announces 'Control' 40th Anniversary Concert Movie

Janet Jackson is commemorating the 40th anniversary of her life-changing album, "Control," with a special theatrical concert film. This project aims to preserve the memory of a "special night" for her fans. Jackson shared her excitement via Instagram, noting that "Control" marked the moment she "found my voice" and became a significant success.

The concert, scheduled for December 12 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, will feature new costumes and offer a glimpse into the making of the iconic album. Every song from Jackson's third studio album will be honored during the performance, though specific details were not provided.

This cinematic release ensures that the shared experience between Jackson and her fans will be remembered for decades. It follows Jackson's earlier commemoration of the album's February 4, 1986 release and her 2022 docuseries, "Janet Jackson."
