Jane Fonda's Heartfelt Tribute to Ex Ted Turner

Jane Fonda recently paid a heartfelt tribute to her late ex-husband, Ted Turner, the visionary founder of CNN. Married from 1991 to 2001, Fonda described Turner as a "swashbuckling pirate" who transformed her life by making her feel needed and cared for, significantly boosting her self-confidence.

Fonda shared that Turner imparted invaluable lessons about nature, business, and strategy, drawing parallels to his deep understanding of historical warfare. She also acknowledged his competitive spirit and his profound commitment to conservation, which she believes saved numerous wildlife species.

Reflecting on their decade together, Fonda noted Turner's role in helping her embrace her own sense of humor and confidence. The couple also co-founded the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential (GCAPP) in 1995 to improve youth well-being in Georgia.

Turner, who passed away recently after revealing his Lewy body dementia diagnosis in 2018, is remembered by CNN CEO Mark Thompson as the "presiding spirit" of the network. Fonda expressed her enduring love for Turner and acknowledged his five children, whom she had the privilege of being a stepmother to.
