Foxx explains saving Washington from Django horror

According to Foxx, the scene involving his character's wife, Broomhilda (played by Kerry Washington), was cut to protect Washington's career, as the film's distributors wanted to safeguard her image.

Foxx elaborated on the decision-making process, stating that he, Washington, and Tarantino collaborated to ensure that potentially damaging content was excluded. He mentioned that both Will Smith and Idris Elba had initially passed on the role of Django due to the film's disturbing elements.

Furthermore, Foxx discussed his conversations with Tarantino about shaping the narrative, specifically advocating for more screen time for Broomhilda.
