James Norton to Conquer West End as Hamlet in 2027

James Norton is slated to embody the iconic role of Hamlet in a new West End production, set to debut in the fall of 2027. Acclaimed director Thomas Ostermeier will helm the staging, marking his first time directing Shakespeare in English.

Producers Wessex Grove and Gavin Kalin Productions are behind the anticipated London run. Ostermeier, known for his long-running international "Hamlet" tour, expressed his excitement to collaborate with Norton, whom he considers a perfect fit for the Prince of Denmark.

Norton shared his enthusiasm for the challenging role and his trust in Ostermeier's vision. He recently appeared in "A Little Life" on stage and has several upcoming screen projects, including HBO's "House of the Dragon" and Sam Mendes' "The Beatles" film series.
