James Gray's new crime thriller, "Paper Tiger," featuring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, has secured French distribution rights with SND. This independently produced film is described as a gritty exploration of the American dream gone awry.
The plot centers on two brothers who become entangled in a dangerous scheme and are brutally terrorized by the Russian 'Mafiya.' Their bond is tested as betrayal becomes a real possibility in their increasingly perilous world.
"Paper Tiger" was anticipated to be featured in the Cannes Film Festival lineup, a festival where Gray has a long-standing relationship, having presented five previous films. Despite the French distribution deal, a U.S. acquisition is still pending.
SND, the film arm of M6 Group, has acquired the French theatrical rights. The film is produced by Rodrigo Teixeira and Anthony Katagas, with an executive production team including Lee Broda and Jeff Rice.
