Jailer 2's National Anthem Mix-Up Sparks Outrage

A controversy erupted in Karur, Tamil Nadu, following an incident at Ajantha Ellora Cinemas where a song was allegedly played instead of India's National Anthem. The alleged mix-up occurred during a screening of the Rajinikanth-starrer 'Jailer 2', a film reuniting the actor with director Nelson Dilipkumar. Videos capturing the moment have surfaced on social media, prompting questions about the theatre's audio selection protocols.

This incident has overshadowed the film's performance at the box office. 'Jailer 2' experienced a decline in domestic collections on its ninth day, earning Rs 14.50 crore. Despite this drop, the film's worldwide gross has reached Rs 628.05 crore. The Tamil market remains a significant contributor to its domestic earnings, accounting for a substantial portion of the revenue generated.
