Rajini's Jailer 2: No Grand Launch, Rare TV Interview Planned
6 Oct
Summary
- Jailer 2 opts for low-key album launch over traditional audio event.
- Rajinikanth to feature in a rare three-hour television interview.
- The film is set to release worldwide on October 15.

Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film, Jailer 2, is breaking with tradition for its promotional campaign. Instead of a large-scale audio launch, the movie will have a more subdued album release event. This event allowed selected fans to experience the music live, featuring composer Anirudh Ravichander and the singers.
Adding to this shift, Rajinikanth is set to participate in a rare three-hour television interview. This extensive primetime appearance is slated for October 11, airing on Sun TV from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. This marks a significant departure from his usual promotional activities, which rarely include lengthy TV conversations.
The interview, scheduled just four days before the film's global premiere on October 15, is anticipated to be a major promotional highlight. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 sees Rajinikanth reprising his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian after the success of the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. The sequel boasts an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Ramya Krishnan, with Vijay Sethupathi making a special cameo appearance. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.
