Jailer 2 Hindi Release Drama: All Clear Given!

Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is slated for a worldwide cinema release on Thursday, October 15, 2026, just ahead of Dussehra. Recent reports questioning the Hindi version's wide release in national multiplex chains have been officially clarified. The film's North India public relations representatives confirmed on Monday that the Hindi version is proceeding with a theatrical release on October 15, as originally planned, with Pen Marudhar Entertainment set as the distributor.

The clarification addresses speculation that the Hindi version might face a restricted rollout due to Sun Pictures' reported OTT deal for the sequel. This deal allegedly requires all language versions to be available on streaming within four weeks of their theatrical debut, a shorter window than typically preferred for Hindi films.

The ensemble cast of Jailer 2 features prominent actors such as Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mithun Chakraborty, and Vidya Balan, with Hrithik Roshan rumored to make a cameo. The first film, Jailer, released in 2023, achieved significant box office success, with its Tamil version earning the majority of its revenue.
