Jailer 2 Hindi Debut Roars: #3 Kollywood Opening!
15 Oct
Summary
- Hindi version earned ₹3.40-3.80 crore on its first day.
- It ranks third for Kollywood film Hindi-dubbed openings.
- The film surpassed others, pushing 'Indian 2' out of top 10.
Rajini The Jailer 2, the Hindi-dubbed version of the highly anticipated film, has made a significant impact in North Indian territories, registering an impressive opening day collection. Early estimates indicate a net earning ranging from ₹3.40 to ₹3.80 crore on its release day, October 15, 2026. This performance marks it as the third biggest opening day for any Kollywood film in the Hindi market.
The film's success has notably displaced 'Indian 2' from the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi-dubbed openings for Tamil cinema. It now trails only behind Rajinikanth's previous hits '2.0' and 'Kabali' in the Hindi belt, underscoring the superstar's consistent pan-India appeal.
Despite potential screen limitations, Rajini The Jailer 2 generated substantial footfall, especially in single-screen theaters. The film's popularity is attributed to Rajinikanth's iconic screen presence, the positive reception from its 2023 predecessor, and the widely popular music by Anirudh Ravichander.
With such a strong foundation laid on its opening day, and buoyed by positive word-of-mouth, Rajini The Jailer 2 is well-positioned for significant growth over the upcoming weekend, promising a robust box office run for its Hindi version.
